About Our Outdoor Book Club

Welcome to our outdoor book club, where nature and books meet. In 2026, we are proud to mark our fourth year of bringing together readers who love books and the outdoors. Our goal is to breathe new life into reading and social culture — combining enriching reading experiences with community connection and fun.

Every month (on the 1st), we choose three books across different categories. As a member, you're free to read one, two, or all three books. At the end of each month, we hold outdoor meet-ups to discuss the books. Details about meeting times and locations are shared in advance.

"We look forward to having you join our reading community — where books, friendship, and adventure come together."

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my subscription cover?

This is a non-refundable annual membership fee. It helps cover the costs of organizing meetings, arranging incentives, and ensures that our community remains committed and serious about reading.

How many books should I read per month?

We suggest reading at least one book monthly. We announce three books each month (on the 1st), and you may read one, two, or all three. Meetings are scheduled so you can participate no matter how many you've read.

How do outdoor meetings work?

Meeting locations are shared at the start of each month, when books are chosen. We begin with venues near Nairobi, accessible by public or private transport. Members cover their own transport costs and any snacks or food if we meet at cafes.

Where can I get the books?

After we select the monthly books, we share several options for purchasing them. If a soft copy is available, we will share that option too.

What if I can't attend the physical meetings?

We usually schedule three meeting days each month. If you miss one, you can try another — or skip the month and join the next. No pressure.

Can I invite friends or family?

Yes — but please only invite people who are serious about reading or are avid readers. They'll need to subscribe using our platform.
